The Ill Wishing and Unwitching
The English cunning folk existed because of one thing above all others: people believed they had been witched. Livestock dying in sequence. Butter that wouldn’t take. A child wasting for no reason a physician could name. A run of bad luck so specific and so sustained it could only be intentional.
The cunning man or woman’s primary business was not love spells or treasure finding, it was unwitching. Diagnosing the source of harm, naming the witch if possible, and turning the working back. Learn more about this and create an unwitching kit consisting of:

The Familiar’s Mark
The witch’s body in trial testimony was surveilled, mapped, marked, and made monstrous. Supernumerary nipples, devil’s marks, insensate patches of skin. This workshop reclaims the body as a site of power rather than evidence. Drawing on trial records and folk belief about the familiar compact, you will explore what the mark actually meant in popular imagination versus legal use, then make a personal body talisman, a small clay disc marked with a symbol of your own choosing that represents your relationship with your own power, your own familiar, your own practice. It is made in silence, named privately, and worn or carried as a reclamation.

Therapeutic Drumming
Following the resounding success of last years workshop, we are delighted that Sarah will be returning to this years festivals with her therapeutic drumming circle. Sarah is a heart-led drum circle facilitator who creates safe, welcoming spaces where people can relax, connect and feel free to be their authentic selves. Although she’s been on a spiritual journey for much of her life, Sarah discovered a deeper sense of purpose when she first picked up a drum in 2023 — and since then, the drum has become a powerful part of the spaces she holds. She has been holding space for a monthly Sacred Women’s Healing Group since 2024, building a growing community, and facilitating mixed drumming circles. Sarah’s daily drumming has helped her mental health improve immensely; connecting with the beat of the drum can gently move us out of the busy thinking mind and into a more meditative, grounded state, helping us feel connected — both to the rhythm and to the people in the circle with us.

Blót to the Landvættir
What is a blót (pronounced bloat)?
A blót is a ritual of reciprocity—a “gift for a gift”—designed to honor the gods, ancestors, or land spirits and to build community. A way of acknowledging the spirit of the living powers around us and giving something of ourselves in return.
This particular Blót will be dedicated to the Landvaettir, the spirits of the land; the quiet spirits of rock and stone, tree and herb, rivers and streams, hedgerow, field and boundary. These beings are the subtle presences that shape and empower the character of place.
Join the Coven of Oak and Holly as we take time to honour the land, offer thanks for the ground that holds us, and make simple offerings in a spirit of gratitude.
There will be a short explanation of the rite, a guided moment of grounding, the offering itself, a shared round of toasting, and a closing blessing for the land and all who dwell upon it.
This is welcome to all ages and there will be a choice of alcoholic (mead) and non alcoholic (apple or orange juice) beverages.
Unfortunately we cannot cater for all dietary requirements so if you have specfic need or allergies please bring along your own drink to give as an offering and to partake in the toast.

Beating the Bounds and Working the Edges
England’s landscape is threaded with boundaries that were once walked, beaten, and ritually maintained. Parish edges, field margins, the strip of land between the road and the ditch, the stile between one parish and the next. These were not empty spaces. They were the places where the law didn’t quite reach, where the hanged were buried, where you left offerings you didn’t want found, where you went when you needed to be neither here nor there.
This workshop explores the English liminal not as a romantic concept but as a lived, specific, legally and spiritually charged geography. The crossroads, the threshold, the lych gate, the parish boundary stone, the hollow way, the ford.
You will create a boundary stone that you’ll mark on one face with a symbol representing where you have come from, and on the other with a symbol representing where you are going. You will make it in silence after a short guided visualisation of standing at a boundary in the English landscape. The Dreaming Goddess: Exploration into How Mythology Disrupts Divine Femininity
The divine feminine did not disappear. She was buried. Deliberately, systematically, over centuries her names overwritten, her sanctuaries repurposed, her stories handed to male hands and retold. The goddess who once presided over creation, sovereignty, and the underworld was fragmented: split into maiden, mother, and crone, or flattened into consort. What remained was a shadow of what she had been.
Mythic erasure was not accidental. It was the architecture of a shift, the rising of patriarchal order required the removal of her authority, and so her stories were the first to change. But she persists. Not in doctrine or in daylight, but in the places doctrine cannot reach: in dream, in image, in the symbols that surface unbidden at the edge of sleep.
This session explores how the divine feminine was suppressed through the rewriting of myth, and how she can be reawakened through dream work and deep psyche. We will trace her disappearance through story, and then turn inward using the dream as a portal, a place where she still speaks in her original language, unedited and whole. You will leave with practices for listening to her, and for channelling what she brings.
